Take the cake...

I'm about to embark on a mystical adventure into the land of the unknown...
Making Cupcakes
(Am I really only 20?!)
The difference is, these aren't just any cupcakes, these are COMPETITIVE cupcakes!
If you know me, you'll know that there is no point taking part unless you're going to win.
This'll be a loooooooong day of blood, sweat, sugar and rivalry!

Wish me luck!

'Tis the season to be jolly....

...And my gosh, these Kiddo's were JOLLY!

So the big day arrived and Santa and his Elves woke at ugly o'clock and began spreading Christmas cheer around Noel!
Before the Christmas story begins, there are some pretty sensational Elves that worked endlessly behind the scenes to make it all possible. An extra BIG thank you to;
Tara Clapper- the work she does at Noel is phenomenal and I can only aspire to have the patience and persistence she has!
Micaela and Cara- for their much needed humour and help over the last 2 weeks
Mum, Dad and Phil - for working relentlessly, wrapping, organising, packing and being understanding while I pulled my hair out!
All the wonderful people who donated money and toys and especially,
The Point Foundation

These amazing Children haven't had Christmas presents since 1995, so being part of such a joyous celebration was better than any Christmas present or dinner I could ever ask for!
There aren't many words that can describe the day, so here are just a few photos to speak for me! I hope you have half as much fun looking at them as I had taking them!

So, This is Christmas...

Merry Christmas!

ClaverPitt and the new smartly dressed bubba!

Can you spot my baby Buduki?

Happy with their new gifts!

My darling 'Big' Buduki!
Sweet Mutoni and her new doll!

Louisa modelling her new necklace

Some of the beautiful girls with their scarves and jewels!

The boys showing off their wallets and sunglasses!

Luc sporting his new cap and glasses!
Oscar with one of his Christmas games!

The amazing Christmas Elf, Bosco!

The Point Foundation paid for all the kiddos to have a lovely Christmas lunch washed down with a bottle of Fanta! And my God, they were in heaven....

Even we had a couple of cheeky Fanta's!

I hope these photos pay justice to what a wonderful day we all had!
Merry Christmas!
Tu-za-wa-na-na-ejo,

Home Sweet Rwanda

Well here it is, my first blog! It has recently been brought to my attention how hilariously funny my daily moans are, so I thought I'd share...
My moans are currently directed at Rwanda, one of my favourite places on the planet, and apart from filthy crowed buses, lying shop keepers, devastatingly slow internet, crazy moto-drivers, dead chickens and a government lacking in common sense, what does a girl have to moan about?
No seriously, I'm thrilled to back here and so thankful for all the people that helped make this trip happen... My parents for mostly funding the trip, my friends and family for the selfless generosity and all the complete strangers who have opened their hearts (and wallets!) and given their overwhelming support.
Since I've been here my love has continued to grow for all the adorable children in this Orphanage, but especially for my 'favourites'.
I'll introduce you to a few of my favourite faces, but you'll hear a lot more about them later!
Buduki
This darling boy won my heart in a glance and the love I have for him is indescribable.
 Mutoni
Crikey, this girl makes me melt with her cute smile and adorable run!
Pdiddy (also known as Jean-Claude)
The cutest little laugh and sweet disposition.
'Moody' Patrick
The shyest of children who wanders round with a face like thunder, but if you flash him a smile, his face could light up a 100 countries!
And lastly,'large' Buduki
The fashion guru!

These are my darlings, and I'm sure reading my 'blog' you'll grow to love them as much as I do!

Blog number one in the books.
Look forward to moaning to you later!
Tu-za-wa-na-na-ejo!
